Surviving After A Suicide Loss (S.A.S)

A Peer Run Support Group – Naples, Florida

Established in 1987, we are the longest-running Suicide Survivor Support Group in Naples, Florida. Our peer-run group offers a safe place for members to share their grieving experiences, receive and provide mutual support, and process the complexities of suicide loss.

“Grief only becomes a bearable experience when it is shared with those who really understand.” — Simon Stephens

Losing a loved one to suicide is unlike so many other losses and can leave loved ones feeling abandoned, alone, stigmatized, and without support. Although each of our situations is unique, we tend to experience similar feelings, questions, and stages of grief. Our group provides an opportunity to meet others who truly understand, to give and receive support, and to forge enduring bonds of friendship as we learn to move forward with purpose and meaning. We offer weekly support groups in-person and through Zoom and telephone support.

Surviving After a Suicide Loss support group meetings are held every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm in Naples, Florida. Please contact our group facilitator Bob Riley at 239-253-6600 for the location and to learn more.

The group is open to all adult survivors of a suicide loss and serves Collier and Lee Counties and surrounding area. S.A.S. is not affiliated with any religious creed or denomination.
