Cooper Borg 11/29/89-7/3/15
On the evening of July 3rd, 2015, Cooper succumbed to his long struggle with depression and addiction at the age of 25. Friends and family found out on the morning of July 5th. Cooper was born November 29th, 1989, and was raised in Napa. Cooper was incredibly intelligent, kind, sensitive, and loving with a warm, lighthearted, and unrelenting sense of humor. His ability to self-educate was like no other; he was always delving deep into the corners of obscure knowledge ranging from neuroscience to early cinema, and constantly listening to podcasts and music. He was an excellent conversationalist; every time he spoke it was frank, eloquent, full of linguistic flair and wit. Empathetic, open-minded, and never hesitant to help someone in need, he was a true friend to many and wasn’t bashful about sharing his love with them.
Cooper was one of the most genuine humans I have ever come across. He knew exactly who he was and lived a very full life. I do not believe Cooper’s life was short; he lived the amount he was able to tolerate. I am happy for him that he has found his peace, I am just sad for us left earth side without him. Cooper made you feel like the most important person. He truly made you feel valued. Nothing was off-limits with him, and everything needed to be questioned. I love you coop a loop, no end in sight. -Sophie
